Features

Next-level quantum performance

Unleash the power of quantum performance to fuel breakthroughs and expand the horizons of discovery.

Advanced stability and precision for cutting-edge research

Our Picus Q by Refined Laser Systems redefines laser performance with its fiber-coupled design and fast tuning capabilities, ideal for precise quantum dot excitation. It offers high wavelength stability and pulse coherence above 98%, ensuring reliable and accurate operation. Its compact 19" rack format and air cooling enable easy integration and low maintenance. Perfect for demanding applications in quantum science, nanotechnology, and materials research.

High coherence

The Picus Q is built on a resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO) architecture to deliver high temporal coherence and excellent pulse-to-pulse stability. It achieves strong interference with fringe visibility above 98%. This high phase stability is valuable for quantum dot excitation, enabling the generation of high-purity, indistinguishable single photons.

High coherence and phase stability

Mode-hop-free tuning

With smooth tuning across 770–980 nm and a spectral bandwidth under 1 nm, the Picus Q provides precise wavelength control without mode hops—crucial for sensitive applications such as quantum dot excitation.

Stable fiber architecture

At its core, the Picus Q is built on a polarization-maintaining single-mode fiber architecture, ensuring excellent beam quality and long-term stability. Integrated fiber-based tuning mechanisms minimize beam pointing drift without external compensation, enabling consistent performance across the entire tuning range.

Stable fiber architecture
Flexible control and integration

Flexible control and integration

The Picus Q is designed for custom and integrated setups, offering full electronic control in a compact, air-cooled form factor. It requires no water cooling or vibration-isolated optical table, enabling straightforward integration into complex experimental systems such as quantum computing platforms, photonic circuits, or material characterization setups.
